The 7th International Ecosocialist Encounters will take place in Brussels from May 15 to 17, 2026, in continuity with the 2024 Encounters in Buenos Aires. Their goal is to be a moment of strategic convergence for those who reject the false solutions of green capitalism and seek to build a break with the system.
During these Encounters, a specific space will be devoted to the world of work and ecosocial transformation. No radical transformation is possible without the conscious and organized intervention of the working class. The challenge is to articulate trade union, feminist, anti-racist, and ecological struggles within a common anti-capitalist perspective. In collaboration with these Encounters, the second international meeting of Peoples Against Extractivism will take place.
These Encounters also aim to be a moment for developing transitional proposals and strategic debate. The 7th International Ecosocialist Encounters will give space to the activist journey and living thought of our comrade Michael Löwy, whose revolutionary ecosocialist reflection continues to nourish our struggles.
We call on you to sign the Appeal — individually or on behalf of an organization — to participate actively in the preparation of these Encounters, and to make Brussels a high point of organization, coordination, and strategic clarification.
Capitalism leads to collapse and barbarism. Revolutionary ecosocialism is the condition for survival and emancipation. It is no longer a question of reforming the system, but of dismantling it to build a social project that combines social and political emancipation with the imperative necessity of halting the destruction of life and repair, as far as possible, the damage already caused.
